Hygiene Kit Success!

Thank you to all of you who contributed and helped with our hygiene kit project!  We reached our goal of 20 kits and were able to give them to the great people of Community Action Services.  We even had some extra items we were able to share with them as well.  Thanks to the generosity of our great ward members, we were able to help local people in need.  We have some more great projects in the works, so stay tuned for some fun and exciting opportunities!

We're Making Progress!

Look at all this wonderful stuff!  

Thank you so much to everyone who's contributed to our Hygiene Kit Project!  We've been able to collect a lot of stuff, but still have a little ways to go.  Our goal is to have everything collected by the 28th of February so we can assemble and distribute them on the 29th.  Here is what we are still in need of:

Feminine Pads/Tampons - 14

Dental Floss - 11

Toothpaste - 9

2in 1 Shampoo/Conditioner - 14

Lotion - 14

Please keep in mind that they would prefer full-size items.  So next time you're picking up some floss or toothpaste, grab an extra one for the hygiene kits!  Thanks again!

Hygiene Kit Update

Thank you to all of the wonderful sisters that have contributed to our Hygiene Kits.  We appreciate all of you! Here are the items we are still in need of:

18 - Shampoo/Conditioner in one

16 - Bar of Soap

18 - Lotion

13 - Lady's Deodorant

7 - Toothbrush

15 - Dental Floss

15 - Toothpaste (full size please)

19 - Feminine Supplies (18 pack of pads or tampons)

So next time you're at the store getting some new toothpaste or deodorant, grab an extra one to bring to church!  Thank you again for all of you and your willingness to serve.

Vacuum

We have a Dirt Devil Vacuum sitting in our garage that isn't in the greatest condition, but works if anyone needs it. We'd love to give it away if there's a need, but if we don't hear anything in a week or two, we'll probably just throw it away.

16-Bars of soap (4-5 oz)

18-Bottles of lotion (7-8 oz)

17-Feminine deodorant (1-2 oz)

9-Adult toothbrushs

15-Rolls of dental floss

15-Full size toothpaste (4-5 oz)

20-Packages feminine pads or tampons (18 count)

Humanitarian update

Thank you so much for the donations to our humanitarian kits.
Here are the new totals for each item needed:

20-Hand towels (Approx. 15x25 in)

20-Bottles of shampoo & conditioner in one (13-15 oz)

16-Bars of soap (4-5 oz)

18-Bottles of lotion (7-8 oz)

17-Feminine deodorant (1-2 oz)

These kits will be going to the Community Action Services in Provo, to meet needs right here in Utah County. We aren't sending them to some nameless faces overseas. They are going to help our brothers and sisters who are in need all around us.

Look around your house and see what you have extras of that you can donate!

Humanitarian Needs

I promised to update the blog with things we still need for our Humanitarian Kits. Guess what, the numbers haven't changed!

I am hoping these items are mostly things you have extras of around your house. Bring them to church anytime and drop them off in the box in the Clerk's Office or give them directly to me.
